Cubed sweet potatoes roasted in avocado oil with pure maple syrup, fresh sage, and a hint of cinnamon. A fall-inspired side that earns a spot on the Thanksgiving table.

Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 Tbsp avocado oil or melted butter
  • 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp dried sage or 1 Tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place cubed sweet potatoes on the sheet. Drizzle with avocado oil and maple syrup.

Sprinkle sage, salt, pepper, and cinnamon if using. Toss until evenly coated.

Spread potatoes in a single layer. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.

Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy.
