Terms of Use

A note from Tricia

Hi friend,

Before we get into the legal-sounding part of this page, I want to tell you what this is and why it exists.

Every recipe in this Vault took time. Time in my own kitchen, time testing with my family, time pairing it with a scripture, time photographing it so you would know exactly what it should look like. The Vault is a working library of that effort.

This page exists so that the people who become members understand how the Vault is meant to be used — and so the work stays where it belongs, with the families who joined to share it.

Everything below is written plainly. If anything is unclear, reply to your welcome email and I will walk you through it.

— Tricia

Terms

By purchasing a subscription to the Simple Living Faith Recipe Vault (the “Vault”), you (“member” or “you”) agree to the following terms. Simple Living Faith (“we” or “us”) grants you access under the conditions below.

1. What your membership includes

Your active subscription gives you personal, non-transferable access to:

  • The full library of Vault recipes, including ingredients, instructions, nutrition information, and scripture pairings
  • The grocery list builder and any future features added to the Vault during your active subscription
  • Printable PDF downloads of individual recipes, watermarked with the email address tied to your account

Your access continues for as long as your subscription is active and in good standing.

2. Personal use

Vault content is licensed to you for personal, household use. This means you may:

  • Cook from any recipe as often as you would like
  • Print recipe PDFs for use in your own kitchen, refrigerator, or personal recipe binder
  • Share a single printed copy of an individual recipe with immediate family members in your household
  • Save recipes to your own personal devices for offline reference

3. What is not permitted

To protect the work and the members who paid to be here, the following are not permitted:

  • Sharing, forwarding, posting, or otherwise distributing Vault recipes, PDFs, photographs, or other content outside your household
  • Publishing Vault content on any website, blog, social media account, video, newsletter, or printed publication
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or republishing any Vault content in any form, paid or free
  • Sharing your login credentials with anyone outside your household
  • Using Vault content to train, fine-tune, or develop any artificial intelligence model, language model, or automated system
  • Scraping, crawling, bulk-downloading, or automated extraction of any portion of the Vault
  • Removing, altering, or obscuring the watermark on any Vault PDF
  • Using Vault content in any commercial setting, including paid meal-planning services, catered events, restaurants, or cooking classes, without our written permission

4. Your account is yours alone

Each paid subscription covers one member account and the immediate family in that household. Your account is not transferable to another person, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials private.

If we observe activity that suggests an account is being shared outside a single household (such as logins from many different locations in a short window), we may pause access until we can confirm legitimate use.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent activity, unauthorized account sharing, payment disputes initiated in bad faith, excessive downloading inconsistent with normal personal use, or attempts to bypass security or access restrictions within the Vault.

5. Watermarking and tracing

Important: Every PDF you download from the Vault is watermarked with the email address on your account. This is a quiet way of making sure the work stays with the people who paid for it. If a Vault PDF ever appears outside our community, the watermark tells us where it came from.

We use this not to punish honest members but to discourage the few who would otherwise share paid content widely. If you have a question about a specific use case — sharing with a parent in another household, for example — just ask. We are reasonable people.

6. Cancellation and access

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page at simplelivingfaith.com/my-account/. When you cancel, your access remains active until the end of your current billing period.

After your subscription ends, you lose access to the live Vault, but any PDFs you downloaded for personal use during your active subscription remain yours to keep for personal reference. The same use rules in Section 2 still apply to those downloaded copies, even after cancellation.

7. Refunds

Because Vault access is granted immediately at purchase and recipes can be downloaded right away, all purchases are final. If something goes wrong at checkout, or you were charged in error, contact us at customer_service@simplelivingfaith.com and we will make it right.

8. Pricing and renewals

Your subscription renews automatically at the price and interval you selected (monthly or annual) until you cancel. If we change pricing in the future, your current rate is honored through the end of your then-current term, and we will notify you by email before any change applies to a renewal.

9. Content updates

The Vault is a living library. We add recipes, occasionally retire ones we are no longer proud of, and update photography or formatting as we improve the site. We do not guarantee any specific recipe will remain available indefinitely, but we do guarantee that the size and breadth of the Vault will continue to grow during your subscription.

While we strive to provide a growing and high-quality library experience, we do not guarantee that any specific feature, recipe category, or item of content will always remain available indefinitely.

10. Intellectual property

All Vault content — including but not limited to recipes, written instructions, photographs, video, PDF layouts, scripture pairings, and the structure and design of the Vault — is the property of Simple Living Faith and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership of any of that content to you.

Recipes themselves (lists of ingredients) are generally not protected by copyright in the United States, but the written expression of a recipe — the instructions, headnotes, photographs, and creative arrangement of ingredients into a finished dish description — is protected. Vault content is, in full, that protected expression.

If you believe Vault content has been copied, shared, or distributed in violation of these Terms or applicable copyright law, please contact us at customer_service@simplelivingfaith.com so we can investigate and respond appropriately.

Simple Living Faith respects intellectual property rights and expects members to do the same.

11. Liability and disclaimers

Recipes are provided for personal cooking and are not medical or dietary advice. Nutrition information is calculated as an estimate and may vary based on brands, substitutions, and preparation. If you have a food allergy or dietary condition, always check ingredient labels and consult a qualified professional before adapting any recipe to a medical need.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Simple Living Faith is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Vault.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any member who materially violates these terms, including the use restrictions in Section 3. Where possible, we will reach out first so the member has the opportunity to correct the issue. In cases of repeated or willful violation, we reserve the right to terminate immediately without refund.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the Vault evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify active members by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Vault after that notice means you accept the updated terms.

14. Contact

If you have any question about how these terms apply to you, the right move is always to ask first. Reach us at:

15. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to the Vault, your membership, or your use of Vault content shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Shelby County, Tennessee, and by using the Vault, you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Physical products and handmade goods

From time to time, Simple Living Faith may offer physical products for sale, including handmade goods, kitchen items, apparel, printed materials, seasonings, spice blends, and other specialty products.

Because many of these items are handmade, made-to-order, small-batch, or produced for food safety reasons, all physical product sales are final unless an item arrives damaged or defective.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for:

  • Handmade or custom-made items
  • Opened food or spice products
  • Items damaged through normal use, improper care, or customer handling
  • Apparel or merchandise ordered in the wrong size or color by the customer

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery at customer_service@simplelivingfaith.com with your order number and photographs of the issue so we can review and help make it right.

Because handmade items naturally vary, slight differences in color, texture, placement, packaging, or finish are considered part of the handmade character of the product and are not considered defects.

17. Tennessee-only food and spice sales

Certain food-related products sold by Simple Living Faith, including seasonings, spice blends, and cottage-food-style items, are only available for sale and shipment within the State of Tennessee in accordance with applicable Tennessee laws and regulations.

By purchasing these products, you confirm that:

  • Your shipping address is located within Tennessee
  • You are purchasing for personal use
  • You understand these items are not available for shipment outside Tennessee

We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order for restricted food-related products that is placed for shipment outside Tennessee.

Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient information and notifying us of any allergy concerns before purchase. Our products may be prepared in environments that process common allergens, including dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts.

Food products are prepared in accordance with applicable Tennessee cottage food and small-batch food regulations. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and are not medical or dietary products.

18. Shipping and delivery

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery timing and handling are outside our control. Simple Living Faith is not responsible for carrier delays, weather-related delays, lost packages marked as delivered, or damage caused during transit, though we will always try to help customers resolve shipping issues whenever possible.

In closing

These terms exist so that the Website/Vault can stay a calm, generous place — one that keeps growing for the people who chose to be part of it.

Thank you for treating it with care.
