Maple Glazed Smoked Chicken Breasts

Chicken breasts coated in a smoky homemade BBQ rub, slow-smoked, and glazed with a sticky maple-BBQ-Dijon sauce. Backyard barbecue with sweet, deep flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbsp yellow mustard (binder)

Homemade Smoky BBQ Rub

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1½ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp dry mustard powder

Instructions

Preheat smoker to 250°. Pat chicken dry and rub mustard over all sides.

Combine rub ingredients and coat chicken generously. Place on smoker grates.

Smoke 60 to 75 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°. Brush glaze during last 10 minutes and allow to set.

Rest 5 minutes before slicing.
