Fresh carrots simmered in butter and pure maple syrup with a hint of cinnamon and fresh parsley. The classic side that turns simple carrots into something special.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced carrots and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until tender.
Pour in maple syrup and stir to coat carrots evenly. Season with salt, pepper, and cinnamon if using.
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until glaze thickens slightly. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve warm and enjoy.
