Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup uncooked long grain rice
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, uncooked rice, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape mixture into golf ball sized meatballs. Place meatballs in a large skillet or baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Pour sauce over meatballs.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 35 to 40 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and rice is tender. Spoon sauce over meatballs occasionally while cooking.
