Catfish fillets coated in a classic Southern Cajun spice rub, then seared in butter until blackened and tender. Bold flavor that's ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Combine all seasonings in a small bowl. Brush fillets with melted butter.

Coat generously with spice blend. Heat cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until smoking.

Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side until blackened and flaky. Serve with lemon wedges.
