Chicken breasts glazed in a sticky sauce of pure maple syrup, BBQ, Dijon, and apple cider vinegar — sweet, tangy, and beautifully caramelized in the air fryer. Comfort food with a Southern twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Homemade Smoky BBQ Rub

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1½ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp dry mustard powder

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 375°. Brush chicken with olive oil.

Season generously with homemade rub. Place chicken in basket.

Air fry 12 minutes. Flip and cook another 6 to 8 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°.

Whisk glaze ingredients. Brush glaze on chicken and return to air fryer 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize.

Rest 5 minutes before serving.
