Sweet Chili Garlic Green Beans

Fresh green beans tossed in sesame oil with garlic, sweet chili sauce, soy, and rice vinegar, finished with sesame seeds. A 10-minute side with sweet, tangy Asian flair.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add trimmed green beans and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until tender-crisp.

Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.

Toss beans until evenly coated and glossy. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes if using.

Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet heat.
