Fresh green beans tossed in sesame oil with garlic, soy, sriracha, honey, and ginger, finished with sesame seeds and red pepper. A 10-minute side with serious sweet heat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add trimmed green beans and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until tender-crisp.
Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, sriracha, honey, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Toss beans until evenly coated and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until glossy. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve warm and enjoy the spicy kick.
