Smoky-spiced chicken breasts topped with sweet BBQ sauce, melted Monterey Jack, crumbled bacon, diced tomatoes, and green onions. A steakhouse-style dinner with serious flavor layers.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
  • ½ cup smoky BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ¼ cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp chopped green onions

Instructions

Combine salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne. Rub seasoning blend evenly over chicken breasts.

Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Reduce heat to low. Brush smoky BBQ sauce over chicken.

Top with Monterey Jack cheese and crumbled bacon. Cover skillet and cook until cheese melts.

Garnish with tomatoes and green onions. Serve warm and enjoy.
