  • 1½ lbs flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil (for steak)
  • 1 Tbsp butter (for onions)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes until soft, golden, and caramelized.

Remove onions from skillet and set aside. Season sliced steak with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Heat olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned and cooked through.

Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place bottoms in a baking dish. Layer cooked steak evenly over rolls, then top with caramelized onions and pepper jack cheese.

Place roll tops back on. In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, fresh garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried parsley, and onion powder.

Drizzle savory butter mixture evenly over sliders. Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden and lightly crisp. Serve warm and enjoy.
