Cast Iron Steakhouse Ribeye

Ribeye steaks seasoned simply, seared in a hot cast iron skillet, and basted with butter, fresh rosemary, and thyme. Steakhouse-quality crust and tender interior, every single time.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (1–1½ inch thick)
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°. Place cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking hot.

Season steaks and marinate 30 minutes. Add butter to skillet.

Sear steaks 3 minutes per side. Add rosemary and thyme.

Transfer skillet to oven. Cook 4–6 minutes depending on doneness.

Baste with herb butter. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
